Kompletr Privacy Policy

Kompletr (“Kompletr”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a digital collection management platform that allows collectors to organise, track and manage their collections.
Kompletr is operated by Craig Jackson, a sole trader trading as Kompletr, based in the United Kingdom.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Kompletr mobile application, website and related services, why we collect it, how it is used and the rights you have in relation to your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Kompletr account, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Account identifiers
- Information required to authenticate and manage your account
We use this information to create and maintain your account, allow you to sign in and provide the Kompletr service.
Collection Information
When you use Kompletr, we store information relating to your collection and your use of collection features. This may include:
- Collections you follow
- Items marked as owned
- Items marked as wanted
- Wish List information
- Collection progress
- Quantities, selections and other collection-related information you choose to save
This information is associated with your account so that your collection can be saved and accessed when you sign in.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to Kompletr Premium, information relating to your subscription may be processed by our payment and subscription providers.
Purchases made through the iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details for App Store purchases.
Subscriptions purchased through the Kompletr website or desktop service may be processed by Stripe. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.
RevenueCat is used to help manage subscription status and entitlements across supported platforms.
We may receive information such as your subscription status, product purchased, renewal status and transaction or customer identifiers required to provide Premium features.
2. Push Notifications
Kompletr uses Firebase services to support push notifications.
If you enable notifications, technical identifiers such as a device or push notification token may be processed so that notifications can be delivered to your device.
Firebase Analytics is not currently enabled by Kompletr.
You can control whether you receive push notifications through your device settings.
3. Marketing Communications
If you choose to subscribe to marketing communications from Kompletr, we may use your name and email address to send you news, product updates, information about new collections, features, offers and other relevant communications.
We currently use Brevo to help manage and deliver marketing emails.
Marketing communications are based on your consent where consent is required.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our marketing emails.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending essential service-related communications concerning your Kompletr account or subscription.
4. How We Use Your Information
We may use personal information to:
- Create and manage your Kompletr account
- Provide and operate Kompletr
- Save and synchronise your collection
- Provide collection, Wish List, Vault, statistics and related features
- Manage Premium subscriptions and access to paid features
- Provide customer support
- Send important service and account communications
- Deliver push notifications where you have enabled them
- Send marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them
- Maintain the security and reliability of Kompletr
- Diagnose technical problems and prevent misuse of the service
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Improve and develop the Kompletr service
5. Our Lawful Bases for Processing
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:
- Contract – where processing is necessary to provide the Kompletr service you have requested, including creating your account, saving your collection and providing subscription features.
- Consent – where you have chosen to receive marketing communications or where consent is otherwise required.
- Legitimate interests – where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting and improving Kompletr, provided those interests do not override your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation – where we need to process or retain information to comply with applicable laws or regulatory requirements.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
6. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information.
We may use trusted service providers to operate Kompletr. Depending on how you use the service, these may include:
- Apple – App Store distribution, purchases and subscriptions
- Stripe – payment processing for web and desktop subscriptions
- RevenueCat – subscription and entitlement management
- Google Firebase – push notification services
- Brevo – marketing email delivery and management
- MongoDB – database infrastructure used to store and manage application data
These providers may process certain information on our behalf or as independent controllers where applicable.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or another valid legal requirement.
7. International Data Transfers
Some of the service providers used by Kompletr may process or store information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable data protection law and that appropriate safeguards are used where required.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing your account and collection, meeting legal or regulatory requirements, resolving disputes and enforcing agreements.
Collection information is generally retained while your Kompletr account remains active.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with the account unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, accounting, fraud prevention or regulatory purposes.
Information held by third-party providers may be subject to their own applicable retention requirements.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You can initiate deletion of your Kompletr account from within the app.
Deleting your account will permanently remove your account and associated collection information from Kompletr, subject to any information that we are legally required or permitted to retain.

Deleting your Kompletr account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription managed by Apple. App Store subscriptions can be managed separately through your Apple account subscription settings.
10. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Ask us to delete your personal information
- Ask us to restrict the processing of your information
- Object to certain processing
- Request transfer of information in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent where we rely on consent

11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
However, no internet-based service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Children’s Privacy
Kompletr is a collection management service and is not specifically directed at young children.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children where doing so would require parental consent under applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Photos and Future Features
Kompletr does not currently allow users to upload personal photographs.
Future versions of Kompletr may introduce functionality allowing users to upload photographs or other content relating to their collections.
If we introduce features that materially change the personal information we collect or how it is used, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any additional information or choices required by applicable law before the new processing begins.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when we introduce new features or change the services or providers used by Kompletr.
The latest version will be published on the Kompletr website and the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy will be changed accordingly.
Where appropriate, we may also notify users of significant changes through the app, website or email.
